Jeremy Porter is Director of Unified Communications at Definition 6, a unified marketing agency. Porter helps
clients unify the disciplines of content marketing, social media
and influencer communications to improve their brand storytelling,
amplify their brand messages and build stronger and more engaged
communities.
Jeremy is a communications industry veteran, having developed
and implemented content marketing, social media and public
relations programs for more than 100 brands, primarily in B2B and
technology industry segments. He currently works with clients to
enhance and refine their brand, messaging and positioning strategy
and execution across earned, owned and paid media.
Prior to joining Definition 6, Porter led the marketing
operations for San Francisco-based mFoundry, the largest provider
of mobile banking and payments solutions in the U.S., and the
company best known for making mobile payments a reality for
Starbucks. Porter is on his second tour of duty with Definition 6,
having previously served as its director of marketing and working
to establish the agency's national brand presence. Before joining
Definition 6 the first time, Jeremy was the first VP of Marketing
for Appcelerator, a leading mobile application development
framework.
Outside of his core duties at Definition 6, Porter is the
founder and lead contributor to Journalistics, a
well-respected marketing industry blog about public relations,
content marketing and social media topics. Porter is a
graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University where he studied
Public Relations and Journalism and fell in love with the game of
lacrosse.
