AHA PSA Teaches Hands-Only CPR

Hands-Only CPR saves lives. This is the message the American Heart Association wants everyone to know. With a little help from the classic Bee Gees’ hit “Stayin’ Alive,” viewers learn two simple steps to Hands-Only CPR: 1) If you see a teen or adult suddenly collapse, call 9-1-1; and 2) Push hard and fast in the center of the chest to the rate of at least 100 beats per minute.

We distributed the PSA through direct digital delivery, which pushes spots directly into the ad delivery system used by station traffic departments. We also used our web portal,, to target public service directors for immediate downloads. In total, the spot generated 32 million TV impressions.
