The Ask

The launch of Legoland Florida needed to be as imaginative and creative as the attraction itself – and that meant media attention.

The client wanted to engage viewers in a unique way, ahead of the popular spring and summer tourist months and drive people to visit the park.

Taking this direction, we created a national awareness campaign featuring a Satellite Media Tour that supported The LEGO Movie at LEGOLAND in Winter Haven, Florida – and made use of some challenging filming techniques.

The Strategy

Instead of the standard camera setup for satellite media tours, we used two cameras and a massive 10-foot crane with a camera mount. This allowed us to show a birds-eye view of the park, helping viewers at home to really feel as if they were there. This took what would have been a traditional SMT to another level.
