Each year Xbox holds a media briefing before the opening of the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) to reveal all the new games and technology that they will roll out for the holiday season. For the tenth year in a row, DEFINITION 6 was on-hand to provide support during the Xbox E3 Briefing.
During the 2017 briefing, our video production team provided conference coverage, crash edited a b-roll package for broadcast and edited a second package for Xbox’s press site. Our media relations team managed the domestic and international media distribution.
This year, both teams were on hand to assist in the same capacity— shooting footage, editing b-roll packages, and handling distribution—while also adding two new components: an Audio News Release and a :60 video spot for additional paid placements.
The June 10th briefing was the largest in Microsoft’s history, with a record 42 games showcased. The event was broadcast live to the official Xbox Mixer Channel and live-streamed to Xbox’s Twitch Channel, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook Live. Additional broadcast-quality sound bites and other media are available on Xbox’s online newsroom.
